The reconstructed 11th-century stronghold, once located in the town of Owidz, in the commune of Starogard Gdański. As a self-government cultural institution, Grodzisko has been operating since 2012. The owidzki stronghold, located on the hill above Wierzyca, was one of the strongest in the area of ​​present-day Kociewie, and its creation was related to the strengthening of Bolesław the Brave's sovereignty over Pomerania. It was probably destroyed in 1090 at the behest of Władysław Herman, who then destroyed a large part of Pomeranian castles in order to prevent the Pomeranian revolt. In spite of the destruction, it continued to function and in the 12th century it served as a defensive function and later lost it. Defensive towers were also built into the embankment, including reconstructed gate tower. The houses were in the form of corrugated houses with thatched roofs or half-dunes. Ten cottages were reconstructed, but there were many more in the stronghold. In the middle of the settlement there was an undeveloped square - a Maidan, a meeting place for people. In addition to the family, the town was inhabited by representatives of the prevailing religion, warriors, representatives of the most important crafts, and major buyers. Grodzisk is accompanied by extensive tourist infrastructure in the form of a restaurant, souvenir shop, playground, parking lot and canoe harbor in Wierzyca.
