The entire area of the Old Town of Chojny has a diameter of 580 m. The Old Town is entered in the register of monuments, and the objects located on its territory were placed on the European Brick Gothic Route - a tourist route covering 32 cities. The Old Town was largely destroyed during the war, but the buildings were carefully rebuilt. The history of this part of the city perfectly illustrates the paradoxes of history: the monuments that survived the German occupation were destroyed in 1945 by the hands of the liberator, i.e. the Red Army.
