The Barnkowska Gate, also called Myśliborska, was built at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries. It was built on a quadrangular plan, crowned with an octagonal tower covered with a pointed helmet. The toothed defensive wall of the gate surrounds the currently open observation deck, which is the best vantage point in the city. It offers a magnificent view of the rest of the city walls of the city of Chojna. The magnificent architecture of the Barnkowska Gate perfectly resembles medieval times, when city gates were a real showcase of the city and when their appearance testified to the wealth of its inhabitants. The name of Barnkowska Gate comes from the ancient village of Barnkowo, which once did not belong to the city, and which today is an integral part of Chojna.
